This Annual Appreciation Banquet is a Dallas Korean Community’s tradition toward DPD’s outstanding achievements and sacrifices.
Under the Chief Garcia’s excellent leadership, the criminal rate of Dallas has been reduced.
We truly appreciated his commitment to make Dallas one of the saftest cities in the country.
I believed the cooperation between the DPD and Korean American Chamber of Commerce will make the metropolitan Dallas better for our next generation.
Now, the Dallas Korean Community promises our continued close relation with DPD and in building better & safer business environment.
Again, we, the Dallas Korean Community appreciate DPD’s strives and dedications.
As Deputy Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Dallas, I extend my sincere gratitude to the Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce. The GDKACC represents approximately 3,000 member companies of all sizes and sectors in the DFW area. Thank you for hosting the Dallas Police Department Appreciation Luncheon Banquet Scholarship Award. The event recognizes excellent police officers in the City of Dallas and provides much needed scholarships to our next generation.
Greetings,
I am honored to welcome all of the attendees to the annual Dallas Police Department
Appreciation and Scholarship Award Ceremony hosted by the Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce (GDKACC). I would also like to congratulate the scholarship awardees on their remarkable accomplishment.
In today’s world, we are witnessing terrible crimes occurring to our friends and neighbors, such as the recent tragic shooting at the Allen Outlet Mall and a Korean restaurant on Royal Lane. Our lives would have been more shattered and our society would have suffered a greater impact from these hideous crimes if not for the law enforcement officers who safeguard us on the front lines.
Today’s event, organized by GDKACC for the past 15 years, is an opportunity to express our deep gratitude to the hardworking officers of the Dallas Police Department who have dedicated themselves to keeping our lives safe and protecting our community.
I would also like to commend the members of GDKACC for their tireless efforts in securing the recent designation of Dallas Koreatown between Royal Lane and Harry Hines Blvd. This achievement is truly remarkable and represents a significant milestone for our community.
Congratulations to the families and outstanding students who are receiving scholarships today.
These scholarship awards serve as a testament to the Chamber’s commitment to investing in the education of future leaders. They are the future, and the future looks very promising indeed.
It is encouraging to know there are many scholarship award opportunities in the greater Dallas area. Awarding scholarships to students ensures needed support to ease their financial burden to help them better focus on their studies. The ability for the Korean American community to take part in awarding the children of the Dallas Police Department is meaningful and significant.
On behalf of the Korean Society of Dallas, I would like to applaud and express my deep gratitude to the Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce for graciously hosting the 15th Annual Dallas Police Department Appreciation and Scholarship Award Luncheon.
With recent increased hate crimes and gun violences in our community, safety issues are the major growing concerns among the entire Korean community. We rely and depend on the Dallas Police Department for our safety. We are also pleased and proud to know there are Korean Americans serving in the Dallas Police Department to help our community. Providing scholarships to the children of our law enforcement officers is what we can do to express our gratitude for their services. Last year, 4 officers were awarded for their community outstanding services.
We are grateful for their sacrifices and services to serve and protect our community. It is essential and absolutely necessary for the Korean community to build a strong and solid working relationship with the Dallas Police Department to ensure our safety and to build trust. We know a violence and crime can happen any time, but because we have dedicated and caring Dallas police officers, we are feeling safe.
Again, we want to express our gratitude to the Dallas Police Department and officers for their continued sacrifices and dedications to protect our community and keep us safe.
I also want to personally congratulate all the scholarship recipients for their achievements and wish you all to fulfill your “dreams” and achieve all your goals. Thank you.
Congratulations to all of the 2023 Scholarship Recipients and Distinguished Police Officers.
Something that we should celebrate together is that the Royal Lane area is officially designated as Korea Town. I believe that this was not only the result of the efforts of the Korean community, but also the fruit of the Dallas Police Department’s efforts for safety. Also, I really appreciate to Deputy Mayor Omar Narvaez.
Over the past 15 years, Scholarship Luncheon and Community Excellence Awards-Officers has not only strengthened the relationship between the Korean community and the Dallas Police Department, but also served as a steppingstone for a brighter future.
I hope that the Dallas Police Department and the Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce will continue to work together to make the Korean community a safer and better place to live.
On behalf of the Dallas Police Department, I extend my sincere gratitude to the Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce for graciously hosting the 14th Annual DPD Scholarship Banquet.
Your continued dedication, support and generosity in awarding the children of law enforcement officers with scholarships is overwhelming.
This act of kindness helps ease some of the burdens that already consume many of our law enforcement officers who go out every day with the willingness to sacrifice it all for the betterment of the communities they serve.
Thank you GDKACC, for your continued support, not only for our officers, but for their families as well.
